We detail below answers to some of the questions you may have regarding the two day Conference in January.
Q. Do AHDA book my accommodation for me?
Yes, all you need to do is book your ticket through Eventbrite, and we will do the rest. You will receive an email and updates leading up to the conference. Conference Tickets can be saved to your Apple Wallet and are also available via the Eventbrite App (which is free to download).
Q. How do I use Slido at the Conference ?
You can download the Slido App in advance using this link or the QR code below.
The QR code will also be on our Facebook page and displayed at the Conference.
Q. What are the car parking details?
Car parking details and how to register will be issued to all delegates before the event.
Q. What time do I need to arrive at the Conference?
Please arrive in plenty of time to pass through our registration desk. The Exhibition hall opens at 10:00 on Monday and the first speaker is at 10:30. On Tuesday, the Exhibition hall opens at 09:00 and the first speaker session is at 09:00.
Q. What is the dress code?
The dress code for the Conference is smart casual (no jeans).

Q. When can I get into my room?
If your room is ready when you arrive, you will receive your key immediately. If not ready, arrangements will be made to store your luggage.

Q. Do I have to buy any meals?
Included in the two-day package are lunch and dinner on Monday, breakfast and lunch on Tuesday.
If you are attending for one day, your lunch will be provided.
Tea, coffee and snacks will be provided on both days.
Q. Is there a Delegate List this year ?
A list of all delegates attending the conference will be provided in your Delegate Pack and published on the AHDA website.
Please let us know if you do not wish your name to appear on this list.

Q. Will my hotel room be serviced ?
Your hotel room will not be serviced unless requested . Amenities can be replaced 24 hours a day as required, just ask at the Front Desk.
Q. Will I be seated next to my colleagues at the Gala Dinner?
We try to mix everyone up, to give delegates chance to network. If however, you would like to sit next to a dedicated person, then let us know.
Q. I have dietary requirements, do I need to notify anyone ahead of the Gala Dinner?
Dietary requirements (Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten free and allergies) need to be advised at least 2 weeks before the Conference. A £10 surcharge will be applied at the Gala Dinner if not requested in advance. Details of the food to be served is shown within the Conference Programme section of our website.
Q. When do I need to wear my lanyard?
Lanyards must be worn at all times whilst in the Exhibition Hall or Speaker rooms.
Q. Do I need cash for the Grand Gala Prize Draw?
Yes, we ask all guests to put a minimum of £10 cash into your named envelope. Unfortunately, the charity cannot process credit card requests. You will be able to Gift Aid your donation. Envelopes will then be placed into the draw.

Q. How do I claim Self Reflction CPD ?
You must record self reflection CPD within 3 months of it taking place. To do this you will need to log onto the AMTRA website and follow the links. When completing the form you will need to state how the CPD developed your learning and how it will impact the way you work.
It might include:
- What you learnt
- How you might change your prescribing/advice as a result of this new learning
- What further CPD/learning might be appropriate for you
- Any other reactions to the CPD that you think are relevant
Q. How do I earn my CPD points?
Ensure that you have told us your RAMA number at registration and that you have a yellow cattle tag on your lanyard. You will need to scan in and out of each session. Your number will be recorded as attending the session, and we will then work out how many points you have earned and inform AMTRA accordingly.
Q. When will I receive my CPD points?
We aim to have these processed as quickly as possible, hopefully by the end of February.
Q. What time does the Conference finish?
On Monday the last speaker finishes at 15:30, Exhibition Hall networking is from 15:30 to 16:00 followed by the Happy Hour Drinks Reception (Sponsored by Chanelle) at 16:00.
The Exhibition hall closes at 17:30.
If you are staying for the Gala dinner, the Champagne reception (Sponsored by Lodi) is at 18:45 followed by dinner.
On Tuesday the last session finishes at 16:00.
Q. What happens if I am unable to attend the conference due to illness?
In the unfortunate event of illness, please advise us as soon as possible. We will do our best to cancel your place and reduce your financial contribution. We have to take into consideration the Hilton Hotel cancellation policy, as unfortunately they still charge us for no shows.
Q. What happens if I am unable to attend the conference due to other circumstances?
If a delegate is unable to attend, AHDA are happy for the booking to be transferred to another person. An admin charge will apply (£10 for day delegate/ £25 for 2 day delegate).
AHDA needs to be advised as soon as possible and any dietary requirements specified.
Cancellations made within 30 days of the AHDA Conference are 100% non-refundable.
