We detail below answers to some of the questions you may have regarding the AHDA Conference in January.

Q. Do AHDA book my accommodation for me?

Yes, all you need to do is book your ticket through Eventbrite, and we will do the rest. You will receive an email and updates leading up to the conference. Conference Tickets can be saved to your Apple Wallet and are also available via the Eventbrite App (which is free to download).

Q. What are the car parking details?

Ample free parking is available at Crewe Hall.

There is also electric hook up available, with 10 fast chargers and 2 rapid chargers for EVs on site.

Q. Which entrance to the venue do I use?

Please enter via the West Wing entrance, which is the modern building to the left of Crewe Hall (number 10 on the map) and not the main Crewe Hall entrance.

For delegates arriving after 5:30, your room key will be at the Old Hall Reception in Crewe Hall (number 3 on the map).

Q. What time do I need to arrive at the Conference?

Access to set up Promotional Company Displays in the Continental Suite will be from 12:00pm.

Registration is from 2:00pm on Monday

Coffee will be served from 8:30am on Tuesday with the first speaker session at 10:00am.

Q. What is the dress code?

The dress code for the Conference is smart casual (no jeans).

Q. When can I get into my room?

Rooms will be available from 3pm and your key will be at the AHDA Registration Desk in the Continental Suite.

If you’re arriving after 5.30 your room key will be at the Old Hall Reception in Crewe Hall.

Q. Is there WiFi at the Conference?

Q. Do I have to buy any meals? 

Included in the delegate package is dinner on Monday evening, breakfast and lunch on Tuesday. 

If you are attending on Tuesday only, your lunch will be provided. 

Tea, coffee and snacks will be provided on both days. 

Q. Is there a Delegate List this year ? 

A list of all delegates attending the conference will be provided in your Delegate Pack and published on the AHDA website.
Please let us know if you do not wish your name to appear on this list.

Q. What are the Monday evening arrangements?

The Evening Dinner will be served in the Long Gallery, which is on the first floor in the main Crewe Hall building.

A complimentary drink from Crewe Hall, will be served in the Great Library (adjacent to the Long Gallery) at 18:30pm followed by dinner in the Long Gallery at 19:30pm.

Wine will be on the table, and additional drinks can be purchased from the bar.

Q. Will I be seated next to my colleagues at the Dinner on Monday evening?

We try to mix everyone up, to give delegates chance to network. If however, you would like to sit next to a dedicated person, then let us know.

Q. I have dietary requirements, do I need to notify anyone ahead of the Gala Dinner?

Dietary requirements (Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten free and allergies) need to be advised at least 2 weeks before the Conference.

Q. When do I need to wear my lanyard?

Lanyards must be worn at all times whilst in the Continental Suite.

Q. How do I earn my CPD points? 

Ensure that you have told us your RAMA number at registration, and we will then inform AMTRA accordingly. 

Q. When will I receive my CPD points?

We aim to have these processed as quickly as possible, hopefully by the end of February.

Q. How do I claim Self Reflction CPD ? 

You must record self reflection CPD within 3 months of it taking place. To do this you will need to log onto the AMTRA website and follow the links. When completing the form you will need to state how the CPD developed your learning and how it will impact the way you work.

It might include:

  • What you learnt
  • How you might change your prescribing/advice as a result of this new learning
  • What further CPD/learning might be appropriate for you
  • Any other reactions to the CPD that you think are relevant

Q. What time does the Conference finish? 

On Tuesday the last speaker finishes at 15:15 after which time refreshments will be served around promotional company displays for linking up and mini meetings.

The Conference closes at 17:00. 

Q. What happens if I am unable to attend the conference due to illness? 

In the unfortunate event of illness, please advise us as soon as possible. We will do our best to cancel your place and reduce your financial contribution.  We have to take into consideration the Crewe Hall cancellation policy, as unfortunately they still charge us for no shows. 

Q. What happens if I am unable to attend the conference due to other circumstances? 

If a delegate is unable to attend, AHDA are happy for the booking to be transferred to another person.

An admin charge of £10 will be applied.

AHDA needs to be advised as soon as possible and any dietary requirements specified.

Cancellations made within 30 days of the AHDA Conference are 100% non-refundable.
